Along the way, you will pass by ruins of an old mill. Our guide will tell you everything about it.

Let the adventure begin
– After the check-in at our shop, or the pick-up in Ponta Delgada, let our adventure begin. Our guide will welcome you and lead you to one of our comfortable vehicles for a great experience.

Lomba de São Pedro
– Once ready, we will go towards Lomba de São Pedro, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande.
– The hike is located along the north coast of São Miguel island. This circular walk starts near the church of São Pedro with a dirt path that goes down in the direction of the ocean.

Miradouro da Rocha
– We will first stop by the viewpoint of Miradouro da Rocha. At this viewpoint and barbecue area, there will be a beautiful panorama of the coast. That is the perfect spot to take some amazing pictures.
– There is a path going down to a little harbor, and we will reach Cascata do Homem (“The Man’s waterfall“) on the way.

Discovering magical waterfalls
– From now on, the path will take us to the ancient ruins of the watermill of Felix, Teofilo’s waterfall, Gruta’s waterfall and the Trout’s well. These places are of an immense beauty and surely you want to keep them in your memories and on pictures!
– Pass behind the waterfall to see the water dropping from the other side!

Old fountains
– At the end of our hiking trail, we will be able to see as well some old fountains once used to supply the villages with water.
– After this amazing day, we will then head back to Ponta Delgada.
